Your Survey
Before
we can arrange for the quote comparison for your move, your
household effects will need to be surveyed by one of our Cross Roads
consultants.
The consultant, who has many years of professional international moving
experience will visit your home to establish what you are taking
along and provides advice and guidance on the entire moving process.
The consultant will suggest the optimum packing, transport and storage
options depending on your particular needs.
The survey will take about one hour to complete.
The information given by you will be forwarded to our moving partners who will each submit a quote
according to that information.
We recommend that you – where possible - contact us about 6 weeks
before your move. Of course
we will be able to help you urgently also.
Your Quotes
After we have established your needs and circumstances during the
survey we will prepare a quotation request to all our moving partners
– either to those of only one category or to more than one category.
This
is where the Cross Roads difference comes in: All of our moving
partners will receive the exact same information and will therefore
quote on the exact same criteria and details. This means to you:
Clear apple-to-apple comparison, while our three categories of
movers will ensure that you are comparing “within the same league”.

For your pre-quote information, please find below various shipment
options you can choose from. Do not worry: Your Cross Roads
Consultant will explain and recommend the most suitable shipment option to you.

The Handover Process
After you have chosen one moving company Cross Roads will
organize a “hand-over meeting” between yourselves, Cross Roads and
the mover of your choice. At this occasion:

Any additional information collected from you will be passed to
the mover.

The mover will hand you all documents required for the moving
process for completion and signature. All documents will be
handed back to the mover at a later point except for the mover’s
acceptance form, with which you accept and sign the original
mover’s quote. This has to be signed and completed on the spot.

Both of the above will be documented on a
check-list which is signed by all parties.
Insurance
You are recommended – but not obliged – to insure your shipment.
Cross Roads will offer you various insurance options with the mover
of your choice. The quote comparison you receive will include the premiums quoted
by the movers.
Customs Information

Cross Roads will provide, where possible, a comprehensive guide to the
customs regulations in your destination country, so that you can
prepare what to bring and what perhaps to leave behind.

The chosen mover will carry out the necessary formalities
in Singapore and at destination customs. All paperwork required
for that purpose will be collected by them prior or during packing
(e.g. passport copy, completed customs form etc.). Where
available, the mover of your choice, will furnish you with the
necessary customs forms. If not available in Singapore our
partner’s destination office will take care of the paperwork.
