| Storage |
Period the shipment spends in our partners
warehouse at either end. This is only chargeable if the shipper
has requested for it. If the shipment needs to be stored in the
warehouse due to normal transit procedures no charges will
occur. Only LCL and Groupage shipments go via warehouse as part
of the normal transit procedure. |

| Volume |
Net volume: Refers to total volume of shipment
after effects have been packed into boxes or wrapped, in case of
furniture or larger items.
Gross volume: Refers to the total pack volume after items have
been loaded into liftvans (in case of small shipments or for
storage please compare LCL, storage). Invoices may state gross
volume for FCL shipments, as well. This is because the balance
space between container door and final row of stacked-up boxes
is measured in order to calculate the chargeable load. |
